Recycling Policies:

Effective February 1st, 2022:

All recycling must be left out in only clear plastic bags. These can be purchased in sizes varying from 1 gallon to 45 gallon. You are welcome to choose the brand and size that best fits your need.

Clear bags of recyclables need to be tied and placed inside your current trash container along with other trash bags, have their own trash-recycling container, or be left in the clear bags near your current trash container. **Separate individual recycling containers may not be left out on trash day with clear bags as their liners.

All clear bags used for recycling will be recycled by Quality Trash Disposal with other plastic film.

Brown paper bags containing recyclables will no longer be collected.

Only large cardboard that will not fit in a clear bag may remain loose. Excessive amounts of large cardboard need to be broken down and reduced into one larger box or be broken down and bound together with packing tape.

Recyclables must be sort-separated correctly according to guidelines found here QTDisposal.com/recycling

Plastic Films (ziplocks bags, grocery bags, etc) must be separated from Plastic #1 and #2.

Plastics #5 and #7 are still NOT accepted. This is commonly found as yogurt, cheese, and deli containers.

Only clean recycling is accepted. All container once housing food must be rinsed thoroughly.

Mixing recyclable categories in the same clear bag will result in recyclables not being recycled.

Including non-recyclables items in with recyclables item will result in your recyclables not being recycled.

Using brown paper bags as recycling bags will result in the those bags being left at the house.

If you feel you do not produce enough recycling weekly to fill a clear bag to place out, you are welcome to use smaller bags and wait until the clear bag is full of clean recyclables and then place out.

Please do not overfill clear bags with glass, as the weight can be too heavy for to lift into the truck.

Recycling remains a free service for Quality Trash Disposal customers.
